Ante Cheng is a LA-based director of photography from Taipei.
Ante is a frequent collaborator with director Justin Chon- Blue Bayou (Cannes '21), Pachinko (Apple TV+), Ms. Purple (Sundance '19), Gook (Sundance '17). He also has shot Death of Nintendo (dir. Raya Martin, Berlinale '20), East of La Brea (dir. Sam Bailey, SXSW '19).
Ante has been nominated for best cinematography at the 2022 Independent Spirit awards. He is one of Variety’s 10 cinematographers to watch.
Ante holds a USC MFA, and a Film Independent Project Involve ’18 fellow. He is a member of the ICG, and repped by WME.
